Dear Sisters and Brothers,

I am sending you greetings of support and solidarity from the 54,000 members of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers supports your struggle to obtain a collective agreement at Salit Quarries.

Even though we are separated by thousands of kilometres we know that your struggle for union recognition and fairness is important.

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers just had our legal strike ended by back to work legislation imposed by the Canadian Government. During the period of our strike and lockout we were overwhelmed by messages of support and solidarity from around the globe. This reinforced our belief about the need for international solidarity.

In solidarity,

Denis Lemelin
