Saturday, 15.6.2013, at Minshar School of the Arts in Tel-Aviv, at 11.00 am. No. 18, Chachami St., Tel-Aviv

WAC-MAAN’s General Assembly for 2013 will take place on Sat. 15.6. Representatives from existing workers’ committees will attend, as well as persons involved in new organizing initiatives to form such committees. The versatile group organized within WAC-MAAN represents its progressive social and political orientation, making it a leading factor in the struggle for social justice, equality and peace.

While the Histadrut separates issues of wages and labor rights from the wider social and political context, turning a blind eye as employers and the government smash the rights of certain sectors, WAC-MAAN carries a vision of solidarity among workers beyond national and sectorial borders.

The program of the General Assembly:

  • An introductory note by Asma Aghbarieh Zahalka – leader of WAC-MAAN
  • WAC-MAAN as a leading player for social change: Introduction by WAC MAAN National Coordinator Assaf Adiv

Hosted by Nir Nader, WAC-MAAN Tel-Aviv coordinator.
  • Annual reports for 2012 and action plan for next year; the comptroller committee report; budget; and election of WAC-MAAN committees.
